This privacy notice applies to Blackburn Ravers and BRMedia, including blackburnravers.co.uk and the BRMedia Android and iPhone apps.
Who we are

Information we may process
Depending on which BRMedia features you use, we may process:
- account information such as your display name, email address and profile image;
- linked sign-in or storage identities that you choose to connect;
- comments and timestamp comments;
- favourites, bookmarks, playlists, recently played items and player/app preferences;
- information needed to keep you signed in and synchronise supported BRMedia features;
- technical information such as browser/device details, referrer information and security/service logs;
- download information including the release downloaded, date and time, logged-in user where applicable, a privacy-protected visitor identifier derived from an IP address, referrer, browser/device information and approximate country where that information is supplied by our infrastructure.
Why we use information
We use personal information to provide BRMedia accounts and features, synchronise your settings and library data, display and manage comments, provide downloads, maintain security, diagnose faults, prevent abuse and understand how BRMedia services are being used.
Lawful bases
Depending on the processing involved, we rely on one or more lawful bases under UK data protection law, including performance of a service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing BRMedia, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies and local storage
BRMedia uses cookies and similar browser storage where necessary for functions such as login, security, playback continuity and user preferences. Optional technologies are only enabled where an appropriate choice or consent has been provided.

Connected services
If you choose to connect an external identity or storage provider, information necessary for that connection may be exchanged with that provider. This can include supported services such as Google or Dropbox. Those providers operate under their own privacy terms.
Who we share information with
Information may be processed by service providers used to host, secure and operate BRMedia, and by external services that you choose to connect. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
International transfers
Some technology or connected-service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards or recognised transfer mechanisms are used by the relevant provider.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including operating your account, providing requested features, maintaining security, resolving technical issues and meeting legal requirements. Information may be deleted, anonymised or aggregated when it is no longer required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
Account controls
Many BRMedia account details and preferences can be managed through My BRMedia. Comments, favourites, bookmarks and other supported account information can also be managed there where available.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect BRMedia accounts, services and stored information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this notice as BRMedia develops or where legal or technical requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
